Rob Cardoso-USSF Licensed Coach with nearly a decade of experience, blending Brazilian passion with Hartford-born grit. His philosophy, “Freedom through expression,” drives his mission to develop technically skilled, mentally resilient, and fearless players. Rob embraces innovation and AI-powered training to help athletes reach their full potential on and off the field.
Rob Cardoso – Coaching Director
Gino Pareja is the President of Cristal FC Youth Soccer Academy. With over a decade of experience working in cybersecurity within Connecticut’s health system, Gino brings a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership to youth sports. He began coaching soccer seven years ago, contributing to programs in East Hartford, Newington, the Boys & Girls Club of Hartford, and Cristal FC’s winter tournaments.
Driven by a passion for South American soccer philosophy, Gino founded Cristal FC to offer the community a distinctive style of play enriched by cutting-edge technology and holistic coaching. His mission is to develop elite athletes by instilling leadership skills that extend beyond the field, fostering excellence, discipline, and brotherhood.

James del Castillo is our new Business Development & Strategy Manager at Cristal FC Soccer Club. With a strong background in digital transformation, e-commerce, and strategy consulting, James brings a unique ability to connect innovation with growth.
His expertise will help Cristal FC strengthen community partnerships, create sustainable opportunities, and build a solid foundation for long-term success. James understands the importance of combining vision with execution. His experience in developing business strategies and driving organizational growth will allow us to expand our reach, enhance the experience for our players and families, and position Cristal FC as a leader in youth soccer development in Hartford and beyond.
James Del Castillo – Business Development & Strategy Manager
Karen del Castillo, as our Director of Operations & Communications at Cristal FC Soccer Club. With a background in Communication, Marketing Management, Creative Arts, and Video Design & Production, Karen blends strategy, creativity, and a human voice.
She listens, streamlines, and turns ideas into messages that connect; builds clear processes so our work flows; and creates content that tells real stories from our community.
Her focus will strengthen our brand, elevate the player-family experience, and keep our club connected.
